GO Wales has launched the Jobs Growth Wales Graduate programme which provides six month job opportunities for graduates aged 24 and under who are unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week.
The work-based programme is aimed at those who are job ready but may have had difficulty securing employment.
Jobs Growth Wales was officially launched by the Welsh Government in April 2012 with the aim of creating 4000 jobs per year for young people throughout Wales. GO Wales is delivering the graduate element of the programme during a summer pilot.
The scheme has launched with 20 job vacancies and new opportunities will be added each week; graduates can search and apply for positions via the GO Wales website. www.gowales.co.uk/jgw
Graduates will benefit from six months worth of quality paid work experience and a good chance of sustained employment with the company once the six month period is over.
All Jobs Growth Wales vacancies are paid at least the national minimum wage but many of the opportunities advertised exceed this.
GO Wales is delivering this programme alongside existing services including; Work Placements, Work Tasters, the Graduate Training and Development Fund and Training Academies.
