Who is the placement with?

Co-Options is a social enterprise company generating revenue from a wide range of services and products. They are happy to have achieved this but they now know that they still have a long way to go!

They create businesses and locate Employment and Training Opportunities that include people with Learning Disabilities. They base their services on the individual needs of the people they support.

 

What will you be doing?

The main focus for the successful applicant is to link up with the company's business managers to promote both sales and the work that the team do with people who have learning disabilities.

This will be promoted through an outdoor event staged at the company's farm. The job as a whole will be organised and promoted by the successful candidate with a wide knowledge of social media and PR and marketing and events management.

Essential Requirements :

The successful candidate must be a strong team player from a PR/ Marketing and Events management degree background, they must have strong knowledge within the social media area, be creative and be able to work on their own initiative with few resources.

Expected Outcomes :

At the end of the placement the candidate will have successfully organised an event to promote the company's services, they will have gained valuable experience of working within a real business environment.

Included within your work placement is a short work-based Award accredited by City & Guilds. The Professional Development Award helps you focus on developing the skills employers want in the workplace. Everyone on a GO Wales work placement completes the Award.

GO Wales work placements are 6-10 weeks of paid employment in an organisation in Wales. They often lead to longer-term work and are a great addition to your CV.
