About this placement
The main purpose of the role is to enable the company to develop an effective sales and marketing strategy, as marketing and online promotion is currently undertaken on a needs basis by the WiSS team.
Over the course of this 10 week placement you will focus on the development of the company’s current marketing strategy, putting in place a long-term plan and commencing work on its implementation through the following activities:
Alongside this role you will also chase sales quotations, arrange appointments, produce reports and quotations and work with the Project Manager to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.
From time to time the job may involve work outside normal hours – for instance to attend an event which may require an earlier start or later finish.
By the end of this placement you will have developed and implemented a sales and marketing strategy, allowing other staff to focus on their own areas of expertise. You will also begin to generate new interest and, potentially, new business within the 10 week period.
Depending on the success of this placement there is a strong possibility of a longer term role with WiSS.
Included within your work placement is a short work-based Award accredited by City & Guilds. The Professional Development Award helps you focus on developing the skills employers want in the workplace. Everyone on a GO Wales work placement completes the Award.
GO Wales work placements are 6-10 weeks of paid employment in an organisation in Wales. They often lead to longer-term work and are a great addition to your CV.
