Tell us about your Work Taster.

“I spent 4 days with Nerys Evans an AM for the Welsh Assembly Government, I had the opportunity to gain experience at the Welsh Assembly and her constituent office in Carmarthen.”

Were you given any tasks/mini projects?

“I was involved with a range of tasks during my taster which helped me gain a greater knowledge of politics, I shadowed Nerys when she gave a talk at Swansea Students Union and I researched records at the Welsh Assembly Government looking at previous policies.”

Was the experience a success?

“The whole experience has confirmed that I want to work in politics and I believe it has shown me what is required to succeed. It has motivated me to work and study harder.”

Will you be seeking more work experience in the future?

“Yes I have already secured another Work Taster with an accountancy firm!”
