An unemployed graduate who used his time on Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth to display a giant copy of his CV has started a job he won thanks to his unorthodox approach. Alex Kearns, 23, had searched for months for work after leaving Swansea University this summer with a degree in French and Italian.
After waving a placard with the appeal "Give me a job" during his hour-long stint on sculptor Antony Gormley's creation, a London business consultancy took him on.
Kearns said:
“In the current climate, you have to work hard to stand out from the crowd.”
