Brecon Coachworks Ltd is dedicated to providing customised vehicles for a variety of public and private organisations (including schools, colleges, universities and disability groups) as well as supplying post-sales vehicle servicing and a range of stand-alone mobility products. The core business is converting new vehicles into high quality minibuses, ambulances and taxis.
Brecon Coachworks employed Cate Jones to create marketing material for a new minibus concept. This involved the creation of a range of material from merchandise to press releases which all contributed to the launch of the minibus. Brecon Coachworks also employed her to help co-ordinate the PR for the launch event.
Thanks to Cate's work, Brecon Coachworks were able to present a high profile launch of their new vehicle in a highly professional manner that exceeded the expectations of both employees and guests. The launch has resulted in numerous enquiries into the new product.
“I was able to establish and develop skills learnt doing my degree throughout the placement. This has raised the profile of my work and acted as stepping stone between education and full time employment.”
“After finishing my degree, the GO Wales placement has helped me to start my career in Graphic Design. This opportunity has been really enjoyable, and will enable me to demonstrate to future employers that I am capable of much more than just the design side of things.”
Will Krawszik Research and Development Engineer believes that Cate's input has had a significant effect on the success of the launch:
“We had spent considerable effort in developing a new product that we wanted to have a large impact on the market, the launch and marketing material of this product had to reflect our hard work and attract the wider audience. We employed the GO Wales scheme as it allowed greatly reduced costs but also allowed control over the project outputs working with Cate on a day to day basis.”
