Welsh Country is a full colour, bi-monthly magazine, which covers the whole of Wales.

Project objective

To work with existing and new contacts who would have an interest in promoting themselves, products or company within Welsh Country Magazine and maintain good relationships and contacts with potential customers.

Project outcome

“I started my placement with Welsh Country in March and so far, all has been going brilliantly. The working environment has been pleasant and every effort has been made to help me fit in and ease into the job. The whole team is very supportive and everybody works together to achieve a final goal of a very successful magazine.”

“My main role is to contact businesses in Wales that may be interested in promoting themselves through the magazine and I have been given the responsibility of the Brecon feature and the food feature that are both regular sections of the magazine.”

“I'm coming towards the end of my placement with Welsh Country but am delighted to say that I have been offered a permanent position with them. The company will be a great kick start to a successful future for me as not only will I benefit from the experience of many fundamental skills of working in a full time office environment (e.g. IT skills, communication skills, deadlines etc), I will also benefit from the characteristics of this company.”
