Kathryn Cardy wanted to gain some experience as an Occupational Therapist in a hospital to help her clarify whether it would the right career choice. She took part in a taster for four days over a one month period.
Kathryn applied for a Masters Degree course in occupational therapy as a result of the experience in which she gained an insight into the different roles of a therapist.
“As part of my taster I observed the procedures carried out in a variety of occupational therapy departments within the West Wales General Hospital. It was an enjoyable experience which I found extremely beneficial as it motivated me to apply for a Masters Degree course in Occupational Therapy, my interest and enthusiasm for the career increased as a result of my experience.”
