Insect Investigations is a Cardiff based company that deal with the product testing and development for the pest control industry.
The company employed Lucy Morapedi a 2nd year Bsc Hons Biomedical Sciences undergraduate from UWIC, as a Technical Assistant to aid with the setting up and running of trials and general laboratory duties.
Lucy took part in the work placement in the hope that she would be able to gain practical experience in a sector closely related to her degree and gain further knowledge that she could use towards her final year at University.
All objectives were met as Lucy explains:
“The experience has not only developed my skills and increased my chances of employment once I graduate but has also had a dramatic impact upon my future ambitions.”
