Taster objective

Kleverstuff Ltd a marketing consultancy based in Cardiff gave Laurian Corner the opportunity to gain some first hand experience in Public Relations through a GO Wales work taster.

Taster outcome

Laurian has acquired many skills during her taster which has helped her feel more confident in finding a job within the PR sector. She is now working for the company one day a week.

“I took part in a work taster with Kleverstuff for 5 days over a 5 week period. My role was based around PR work and I worked on two products within the beauty/cosmetics industry - AcneStar and Nailoid Results.”

“I had the opportunity to gain an insight into; designing a press release and sending this out to Salons and Beauty Editors of consumer, national and regional magazines and newspapers. I had a go of following up a mail out and speaking to managers of the salons and the beauty editors to see what they thought of the products and if the salons would purchase AcneStar units and the beauty editors would feature the products.”

“I had professional and comprehensive hands on training along with a warm welcome into the company. As a result I am still working for the company one day a week and I am enjoying every minute of my time at Kleverstuff Ltd.”

Katrina Evison Director of Kleverstuff said:

“Working with GO Wales and their work taster scheme has proved successful for our company. It has enabled us to 'try & test' graduates within a specific work area; it also gives graduates the opportunity to taste different roles in order to help them understand where their strengths can lead them in future roles. We think that this scheme is worthwhile for both employer and employee.”
