GO Wales

After your Placement

At the end of your work placement you will be asked to complete a Final Report. This should be a review of your placement and the evidence that you have gathered. It should be reflective, coherent and self-analytical. It must be an assessment of your personal experience, but not a description of the tasks you worked on. Preparing this report will assist you in career appraisals and professional development.

Your employer will be asked to comment upon your achievements in relation to your goals which is often a great confidence boost and reminder of how far you have come.

After completing your placement and the Professional Development Award you will have:

  • Learnt more about yourself
  • Learnt more about a working environment
  • Developed new skills
  • rganised your own learning
  • Developed learning styles
  • Quantify your development since the start of placement
  • An improved CV

However, in order to continue benefiting from the opportunities, you should consider how you will continue your self-development.

You could benefit from the GO Wales Graduate Training and Development Fund.
