A GO Wales Work Taster or placement is proven to make a real difference to your CV and employability. However, a placement only lasts for around 10 weeks and a Work Taster for much less than this so you need to make the most of your experience.
Making the Most of your Work Taster
The best way to approach your work placement is to give some thought to want you want to achieve during your experience, ensure you stay on track with your goals during the course of your placement and then reflect and summarise your achievements at the end. You can then update your CV.
Your GO Wales Adviser and your line manager will provide an induction to your placement and your host employer. You will also meet one of our Professional Development Award team who will speak with you about our work-based skills development qualification which you work on during your placement.
This does not take up much time, allows you to set goals, helps you to achieve them and enables both you and your employer to understand and value your achievements while on work placement.
