- Chevron UK
- Owners of the Pembroke Oil Refinery facility in west Wales. One of the largest of its type in the UK the facilities' main outputs are petro diesel, kerosene, jet fuel, fuel oil and LPG petrochemical feedstocks.
- Elf Oil UK
- One of two refineries in Wales, the Milford Haven facility is owned jointly by Elf Oil UK and Murco Petroleum.
- British Gas
- Is Wales' largest operator in the energy supply (downstream) sector with its primary activities being the installation and maintenance of central heating systems. British Gas has a large contact centre in Cardiff.
- National Grid
- The network utility which owns and operates the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales, and the UK's principal natural gas transportation system (formally Transco). Its wider business portfolio includes Wireless Network Infrastructure, metering, inter connectors and property.
- Dwr Cymru Welsh Water
- Owned by not-for-profit Glas Cymru Cyfyngedig, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water is the sixth largest of the ten regulated water and sewerage companies in the UK. Welsh Water distributes water and provides waste water services to 1.2 million household customers and 100,000 business customers in Wales.
- Wales & West Utilities
- A regulated gas distribution business with pipelines located in Wales and south west England. Based in Newport, WWU's primary role, undertaken on behalf of 'gas suppliers', is to transport gas to the meters of homes and businesses from north Wales to Cornwall. Covering 1 sixth of the UK, its catchment area has a population of 7.4 million.
- First Hydro Co
- One of the UK's largest electricity generators, responsible for the management and operation of the pumped storage plants at Dinorwig (Llanberis) and Ffestiniog in the Snowdonia region of north Wales. First Hydro is owned by IPM Eagle LLP, a joint venture of International Power Plc and Mitsui & Co. Ltd.
- Western Power Distribution (South Wales) Plc
- WPD is the electricity distribution company for south west England and south and west Wales, delivering electricity to 2.5 million customers based in Bristol.
- United Utilities Operational services Ltd
- Based in the north of England, UUOP manage a utility infrastructure including water, waste water, electricity and gas. They have 30 sites across the UK including contracts to manage water and wastewater networks in Wales. United Utilities is a member of the FTSE 100 group of leading UK listed companies, and employs over 8,000 people throughout its core utility activities.
- Environment Agency Wales
- EAW is part of the most powerful environmental regulator in Europe. It is part of both the corporate Environment Agency for England and Wales as well as being an ASPB, obtaining much of its funding from the Welsh Assembly. EAW core responsibilities in Wales are environmental and pollution regulation; fisheries, rivers and waterways management; flood defence and waste and recycling monitoring. EAW has its HQ in Cardiff employing 500 staff, as well as 3 regional HQ's for the south east (Cardiff), west (Swansea) and north (Bangor).
